Strategies for September

Symphony Workplaces is bustling as our office clients have returned from Summer travels, and our meeting room clients are reaching out to book our first-class meeting rooms. September is perhaps the most important month of the year for business. How business is managed at the end of the 3rd quarter sets the stage for a strong finish to the year, which provides very positive momentum for the new year ahead. With that in mind, please remember to take advantage of the Business Support Services here at Symphony Workplaces. We are here to support you in any way we can, so ask us about our clerical and marketing support. Your success is our success!

Budget: Is your revenue where you hoped it would be at the end of the 3rd quarter? If not, what can you do to bump it up? If it’s higher than expected, consider the best use of the profit. October is always a great time for a marketing campaign – perhaps a promotion in conjunction with a mailing or email blast? From design to implementation, the Symphony team can take care of all the details for you.

Innovate: Don’t let the holidays sneak up on you! Showcase your brand in the best possible light. Make sure all your contacts are up to date and that your holiday messaging is fresh for this year. How about a video greeting instead of a holiday card? There are many distinguished locations here at Symphony that would make a perfect setting.

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”
— Andrew Carnegie

Review: Many companies conduct employee reviews in the fourth quarter. This is an often-undervalued opportunity to really learn about how about how your business is perceived from the inside out. Make sure that you are providing a framework for the type of information you are looking for. Could it be time for a refresh of your evaluation process? We love to research and could dig up some evaluation samples for inspiration.

Plan: Were you mindful of your business goals last year? If not, consider adding some specific benchmarks during the year that will allow you to change course should you need to. Plan for the time between benchmarks. Get specific about the steps you need to take to reach the next level. If you are a legal pad person, let us type up that very detailed business plan for you!
